Monday mornings will start this term with a hour long "Intros" music session run by an experienced Instrumentally teacher.
Intros is specially geared towards pre-school children and provides a structured approach to developing musical awareness, by introducing musical instruments in a fun-based environment. Children learn through the stories of the animals from carnival zoo.
"We are very excited to be working together," says South Ascot and Cheapside Pre-Schools founder, Sharon Shaw. We pride ourselves on offering an all round, high quality early learning experience for our little ones. We feel we can provide the children with an opportunity to gain valuable skills that can be carried forward on their learning journey."
Intros was developed and is written by Instrumentally founder Kate Chislett. " Pre-school children have an amazing capacity to learn and develop their musicality", says Kate. "Intros is a lot of fun and children get hands on experience of trying different musical instruments."
Formed in 2009, Instrumentally provides inspirational music teaching of a wide range of musical instruments with the goal of developing a life long passion for music.
Its purpose built Ascot Studio opened in June 2011 and contains five air-conditioned music rooms each with high end digital pianos, electronic drums and a Sonos wireless music system.
A range of Starbucks coffee and tea is served to those waiting in our spacious reception area and provide free Wi-Fi and space to catch up on work or homework.
South Ascot & Cheapside Pre-school are planning a series of exciting new activities for the children in 2013/14 and this is the first to be launched. After a review of these initial sessions at Cheapside Pre-school in Term 1, the pre-school hope to offer Intros to as many of the children as possible across both settings. More information to follow on this and other activities.....
