Our final 3 days of the summer term have arrived. We will be having lots of fun in the sun and may even get our new hosepipe attachments out and get wet!!
A huge thank you to everyone who came to the Family Fun Day on Sunday and to all our wonderful helpers. It was a huge success and the burgers and hotdogs were cooked to perfection ( by The Men!!) the beer was chilled, the Pimms refreshing and the face painting superbly applied by Miss Cross from our Rainbow Kids Club and her assistant William. A special thank you must go to Sam, Sarah and Louise, who once again, did all the shopping and running around to enable us to have such a great time. The total raised for the event is approximately £250, which will be shared between the preschool and our designated charity, The Nest children's home in Limuru, Kenya.
We have a new bottle of Pimms that was opened in error, so if anyone facies making a donation, you can take it home for some light refreshment?!
There are photographs in pre-school from last Mon, Tues, Wed. morning. There are order forms if you would like to order any and money must be in by Wednesday please. The photographs will be delivered to pre-school during the holidays and you can pick them up from the summer club.
May Ball 2016
We're busy planning ahead and have booked the date for the May Ball. It will be on Friday 13th May 7.30-1.00 at Northcote House, Sunningdale. Make a date in your diary as tickets will be selling fast at the very reasonable price of £45 each for a 3 course dinner, welcome drink and dance. We always have a fantastic night raising money for our charity The Nest and the pre-school. If you would like any more information or if you have any ideas for auction prizes for the silent or main auction, please speak to Mrs Shaw or send an email. Thank you.
Primary School Leavers Party
All the school leavers are invited to spend the afternoon at pre-school having fun and they can even bring along 2 guests! We will finish the afternoon off by having a little party, so if all the leavers could bring along some food to share, that would be lovely. We already have 48 cupcakes, so maybe not cakes please but anything else you fancy. You're allowed as many treats as you like that afternoon! For children who usually attend the Wednesday afternoon who are not school leavers, they will still be with us as usual, but they'll be lucky enough to be able to join the party too!
All that's left for us to do now, is say a fond farewell to all our chums who are off to 'big school'. We've loved having you and will miss you but know that you'll have a great time at school xx
To everyone else, have a great summer and see you in September!
As our final full week at pre-school starts, we have so much to tell you about! This week we will be preparing for our great adventure to the Forest School on Thursday. Because of a double booking by RBWM, we will now be sharing the site with the reception class of Cheapside Primary School. To make sure we all get the best out of the trip, Mrs Shaw and Mrs Summers (reception teacher) are meeting on Monday to make a plan of action. It will be lovely for the children who will be joining her class in Sept. but also for our chaps who left last year and will meet us again in the forest!
There are a couple of reminders for you with regards to the trip:
Please make sure you have read the letter with all the details about the trip, as it contains important information. Return all medical forms as a matter of urgency. Pay any outstanding coach money please.
Needed for the trip please: Balls of wool Egg boxes (size of 6 eggs) Thank you.
With our summer BBQ fast approaching this Sunday, we have a slight problem of no BBQ!! The one we were going to use, has been declared dangerous as the gas leaks. Has anyone got a BBQ we can use please (we'll pay for the gas)?
Also needed for Sunday please:
Bottles for the tombola A football goal Cakes (home made or bought) Volunteers for the stalls And lots of families to attend!!
Please join us on Sunday, as we always have a great time and it's for a fantastic cause, our charity The Nest Children's Home in Limuru Kenya and the pre-school.
