What an exciting (and hot!) week we had for Royal Ascot. We would like to say thank you to the following:
Mr & Mrs Naji for allowing us to use their house frontage as our exclusive spot! Mr & Mrs Hide for erecting a marquee to protect our little ones from the blistering sun whilst we waited for the procession. Mrs Jones for providing all the children and staff with fruit ice lollies on the hottest day of the year (they were just what we needed). And finally, to the children who behaved impeccably. We had local residents come to us to say how well behaved the children were and what a credit to the pre-school each and every one was. We are very proud of them! This week, we will engaging in lots of role play about primary school as the time draws near for our 'big guys' to move on to the next step of their educational journey. We will also be welcoming to pre-school some of the reception teachers who are popping in for a visit. Show and Tell Aa,Bb,Cc Maths Challenge Sequence the events of the day (morning/breakfast, afternoon, evening).

This week, as you all probably know, is Royal Ascot! We will be making hats and fascinators and going to see the royal procession. If you would like to join us for a picnic at pre-school and for the walk to Watersplash lane, just let us know as we'd love to have you. We will be starting the picnics at 11.45 (the children booked in for lunch club will have their packed lunch) then we will leave at approximately 1.20 for our walk.
Please can we ask that ALL children have sunhats and cream in their bags and that you cream your children before dropping them off at pre-school. We will be topping up the cream during the day but there isn't any spare so we must have a labelled bottle for each child please. Thank you. We do understand that getting to and from pre-school during the week will be tricky, so we are very happy if you wish to stay, arrive early or leave early. If you arrive before your child's session is due, may we please ask that you stay until the appropriate time to help with our ratio's. Good luck! Show and Tell Ww,Xx, Yy,Zz Maths Challenge To know the months of the year. This week, we will be making our 'Father's Day' surprises, so no peeking dads if you're coming into pre-school! We hope you like your little gifts and have a lovely day on Sunday.
