“On your Marks!”
This week we will begin exploring our mark making theme to develop gross and fine motor skills. We will be doing lots of fun mark making activities and hopefully creating some super results! Our show and tell letters and sounds are Pp Qq Rr. Please encourage items and news from these letters! Our parent/carer rolling play day is Monday this week. Do stay and play between 8.45 and 10am. Remember next Monday is a Bank Holiday! We hope you all enjoyed your Easter holidays and didn't eat too many chocolate eggs!
As it is St.George's Day on Wednesday 23 rd April, we will be reading stories about the patron saint of England, some about dragons and princesses and all the children will even be making their own fire breathing dragons! Show and Tell Gg, Hh, Ii Don't forget that the Rainbow Kids Club opens this week for breakfast (8.00-8.45) and tea time (3.00 - 5.30) so if you need ad hoc care for any of the pre-schoolers (3 years or older) who attend Cheapside Pre-School or children who are at Cheapside Primary School, please contact Caroline Sayers or Lisa Naji for more details. This week we will be celebrating St George’s Day by making flags and sharing stories. Our show and tell focus letters and sounds are Mm Nn Oo. We will be exploring weighing using scales in our large tray and in our role play greengrocer’s shop. Parent/carer play rota will begin next Monday 28th April 8.45-10 am. Please return your child’s Learning Journey and send in any WOW’S for our board! |
