We had our half termly visit from the RBWM mobile library today. Story-time was super-fun in the library and the children helped select some fun books for us to borrow for pre-school next term.
We can't wait for the next visit - Friday 24 May 2019. We had a visit to pre-school this week from BA Captain Peter Naji, who read us the story "Amazing Aeroplanes" and set up some fun role-play with Mrs Shaw as the co-pilot and the children as very eager passengers. The children all had lots of questions and loved the interactive session. Thank you Peter.
We are looking for more parents to come and talk to the children about their jobs next term - please contact Mrs Shaw if you are willing to spare a half hour or so. Continuing from last week, this week at pre-school we are exploring the start of spring and what happens to the environment around us. We will also be looking at the life cycles of different animals. We will do this by introducing spring related books, maths activities and lots of crafts🌸🐣
The letter of the week is 'A' so if your child would like to bring in anything for show and tell that would be great!🍎🐜✈️ (See below for the link to our phonics video for ABC): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q3orQm3r-_4 Attached is the planning for this week and last, please feel free to come and add your child’s interest to the parents contributions section, or please feel free to send it through on Famly. We made the most of the wonderful weather last week with our Music with Mad Academy session outside on the astro turf.
